Narcissuses In the Hall of Mirrors
I noticed that auto parts stores seem to clusters in groups of 3, particularly in rural areas.  This is a marketing technique aimed at giving customers the illusion of choice. I found this kind of logic, internal to the market place rather than based on any real need, emblematic of the relationship between corporations and their rural customers and workers. This piece is made out of images of many such auto parts stores in Western North Carolina and throughout Appalachia.
